Iron Man: Extremis Motion Comic

Although I purchased Iron Man: Extremis on iTunes a while back, I just purchased it on DVD so I could view it on my new HD television. This is the best motion comic yet although I also like Spider-Woman: Agent of Sword, too. I will be purchasing that on DVD when it becomes available.
The animation is top-notch. Remember it's different than a regular animated feature. Also the story is excellent along with the voice-acting.

FaceTime Works Great and is Fun

With an iPhone 4, you can make video calls to others if they have an iPhone 4 or and iPad. It has to be over wi-fi and not the cellphone towers. It's very fast, easy and fun to use. Below is a webcam photo of my buddy, Larry  "Matts" Mattson who I recently FaceTimed with.

Marvel Knights: Black Panther

Below is a video still from the motion comic "Black Panther". It was recently released on DVD.  I liked the look of the Klaw's car The voice acting was great. It was a very entertaining motion comic.

Rebecca Black's "Friday" Song and Video

I might be 52 years old but I like Rebecca Black's new song "Friday". Her video is a fun watch and the tune is catchy. The lyrics might not be at Bob Dylan's level but who cares? And, by the way, Dylan could use that pitch-correcting auto-tune software that Rebecca's producers used. All the cyber-bullying that is being aimed at Rebecca is just cruel. You're all jealous of her success. I purchased the track on iTunes and I'm sure by children will enjoy it.

The Snake Man Come For A Visit

Bud, my co-worker and good buddy, came to my home to buy one of my old televisions, you know.. the kind that are heavy and bulky. Anyway, he brought a Barn Snake for my children to see and then briefly tuned by wife's cheap guitar. Bud is a very talented guy as you an see through my video stills produced from my iPhone 4.

They aren't too good as the video was too jerky and I didn't have enough light in some. But Enjoy.

Life Through Video Stills

Digital photography is such a great tool. We can take photos of our experiences and easily edit, delete or keep them. No one should be without a digital camera, a computer and photo software. But what I have found to very interesting is making photos from video frames (video stills). I've taken my homemade VHS and analog camcorder videos (8mm tapes) and transferred them to my computer. Pinnacle Studio is the best at it; producing video stills as you can edit the size of the picture and it clears them up pretty good. What's best is that you can take any frame such when your child engaging in sports activity and get the "perfect" shot.

I've learned to edit video stills well over time with trial and error. I can always notice a video frame on the Internet as the apect ratio is incorrect and there's that ugly black bar on the right and left side along with video frame bar below. The correct aspect ratio from analog sources is 720 x 540 and not 720 x 480 or 640 x 480. I double that to 1440 x 1080 as I like the larger size although it's not as clear. I also crop out the black bars and lower ugly looking video frame. The result is a nice picture that is very interesting to look at although it's not as clear as a digital photo.

I also produce video stills from my Kodak 1015 IS digital camera and Apple iPhone 4 cellphone. Both are capable of producing hi-def mov file videos and I am able to get 1280 x 720 size video stills from each. Most of the time the video stills I get from them are very good.

Another source is DVDs. I place them in my computer and produce great looking video stills using Cyperlink PowerDVD 6. I usually produce 1280 x 720 size but I somethings double that. Most look real good.
